Accounting Associate
About the role
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join the Finance Controlling team at Styrotech Corporation. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's accounting operations in Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
What you'll be doing- Preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the general ledger
- Assisting with the month-end and year-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements
- Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments
- Providing support for payroll processing and other administrative accounting tasks
- Analyzing financial data and generating reports to support decision-making
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial and accounting records are accurate and up-to-date
- Maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- At least one (1) year of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
