Manila - Electrical engineer (for solar energy)

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Certification as a licensed Electrical Engineer (PRC License) in the Philippines is required.

Experience:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on solar energy systems (solar photovoltaic (PV) systems).
• Experience in designing, installing, and commissioning solar energy projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with solar-related software (such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar design tools) is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components in solar energy systems.
• Knowledge of solar PV system design, inverters, and battery storage systems.
• Proficient in electrical load calculations, energy audits, and system sizing.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and optimize system performance.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (such as PEC and ERC guidelines).
• Experience with grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid solar systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with renewable energy policies and government incentives for solar projects in the Philippines.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the Philippines for installations and inspections.
