Personal Assistant / Secretary (Foreign Boss)
We are an exciting new startup, in the early stages of growth. As we are navigating the exciting challenges of launching a business, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Personal Assistant Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or final-year university student who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Position Overview:The Personal Assistant Intern will provide support to the founder and help with various tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the startup. This is a great opportunity to learn about startup life, entrepreneurship, and get exposure to a range of business functions.
You will be directly involved in supporting the founder with both personal and business-related tasks, and your contributions will make a direct impact on the business's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the founder’s calendar, meetings, and appointments.
- Assist with email correspondence, including drafting, sending, and following up on communications.
- Conduct research on various business needs and projects.
- Help with preparing presentations and reports.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations.
- Handle administrative tasks like filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
- Help with managing social media platforms and content creation.
- Assist in event planning and logistics for business-related functions.
- Provide support on ad hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a university program or a recent graduate (preferred fields: Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in English (both written and spoken). The founder is foreign, so clear communication in English is key.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) is a plus.
- A passion for learning and contributing to the success of a growing startup.
