The Supply Chain Finance and Commercial Finance Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making across supply chain operations and commercial functions. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Operations teams to deliver accurate financial analysis, support budgeting and forecasting, and lead initiatives that improve margin and working capital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Finance
- Provide end-to-end financial support across supply chain functions (procurement, production, logistics, warehousing).
- Analyze supply chain cost drivers and variances (PPV, material usage, freight, inventory holding costs).
- Support make vs. buy decisions, supplier negotiations, and operational efficiency programs.
- Monitor and report on inventory health, write-offs, and slow-moving stock provisions.
- Collaborate with plant or site controllers to ensure accuracy in standard costing and variance tracking.
- Commercial Finance
- Deliver insightful analysis on pricing, trade promotions, customer profitability, and margin optimization.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams in developing commercial strategies and pricing models.
- Lead financial evaluation of new product introductions, customer contracts, and business cases.
- Track and report on sales performance, channel ROI, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Financial Planning, Reporting & Controls
- Support the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and strategic plans across supply chain and commercial areas.
- Prepare monthly management reports with commentary on variances and key business drivers.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
- Recommend process improvements and digital finance tools to enhance reporting efficiency.
