The Event Services Assistant will assist the Event Services Manager with the planning and execution of events, and work as part of a team to support events that contribute to the experience of clients at SMX Bacolod.
- Professionally handle the detailing of events assigned by keeping in mind opportunities to upsell on room requirement, equipment rental and F&B.
- Organize food selling of accredited caterers when there is opportunity.
- Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining effective customer relationships.
- Assist the Event Services Manager in executing client requirement as discussed and laid out on the Banquet Event Order.
- Initiate and maintain communication with clients to assist in planning and coordinating events.
- Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all clients, staff, partners and mall representatives.
- Conducts a thorough walk through with the client for the building turn over and ensures that damages are accounted for and billed if applicable.
- Confirm that space and in-house and contractor staffing levels are as defined on the schedules.
- Ensures additional charges of the event are completely detailed in the Service Work Orders and are duly acknowledged and signed for by the client.
- Regularly reviews event postings/charges to ensure accuracy. Review bills with organizers regularly to eliminate adjustments needed on final bills.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
- Experience in event coordination is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
