R&D Specialist

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys product innovation, hands-on formulation work, and thrives in a startup environment where agility and creativity are key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize formulations for powdered and liquid beverages (e.g., juices, functional drinks, health-oriented beverages)
• Source and evaluate ingredients, including sweeteners, active ingredients, and flavor systems
• Conduct lab-scale and pilot trials, including sensory evaluations and stability testing
• Collaborate with the operations team for scale-up and production validation
• Maintain formulation documentation, technical specifications, and cost tracking sheets
• Ensure all R&D outputs are aligned with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Coordinate with suppliers and external consultants for technical support or ingredient sourcing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in beverage formulation or food R&D
• Familiar with ingredient functionalities, basic nutrition, and flavor systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a startup setting
• Willing to work full-time, on-site in Carmona, Cavite

Bonus if you have:

• Experience working on sugar-free, low-calorie, or functional beverage products
• Knowledge of BIR/FDA documentation or food safety compliance (HACCP/GMP)
• Prior involvement in commercial product launches or pilot-scale production
