About the role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the dynamic team at Ascendion. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising our software development and deployment processes, ensuring seamless collaboration between our development and operations teams.This is a full-time position based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
What you'll be doing- Automate and streamline the software delivery pipeline, from development to production
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with developers to help them understand and adopt DevOps practices
- Research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve our DevOps capabilities
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to ensure a reliable and secure system
- Document and share best practices with the team to drive continuous improvement
- Significant experience (3+ years) in a DevOps or SRE role
- Proficient in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
- Experience in monitoring and logging solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of network and security principles to ensure a secure and reliable infrastructure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
