The Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Paralegal with a strong background in conveyancing to join our Sydney-based team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within Australian law firms.
As a key team member, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing comprehensive support to our clients. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to independently manage tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Fluency in both written and spoken English at a professional level is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Confidently and accurately review and prepare property contracts for NSW, QLD, WA, and VIC (including existing and off-the-plan properties)Manage and handle conveyancing matters across NSW, QLD, WA, and VIC from pre-exchange to settlement with minimal supervision
Prepare letters, emails, and communicate effectively with clients, lenders, and solicitors, ensuring clients are kept up-to-date on their matters
Handle multiple settlements simultaneously, including preparing adjustment sheets and coordinating with involved parties
Prepare Wills, Enduring Guardianship Appointments, and Enduring Power of Attorney documents for NSW, including simple and complex scenarios
Provide independent legal advice on loan documents and prepare necessary documentation
Draft and finalise NSW commercial and retail leases, negotiate lease terms, and provide comprehensive advice to clients
Prepare contracts and manage the sale or purchase of businesses in NSW, including negotiating contract terms and providing legal advice
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Paralegal, with a specialisation in conveyancing, ideally within an Australian law firm.Strong understanding of Australian property law and conveyancing procedures
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work independently
Proficiency in legal practice management software
