Accounting Admin Assistant (AU Accounting Firm) | Onsite - Manila
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, adaptable and organized person to join us. The role is suited to someone looking to gain an all-rounder experience in an accounting firm, as it will require them to take responsibility for a wide range of administration and ATO/ASIC compliance duties including but not limited to:
- Answer, screen and direct incoming calls and relay messages.
- Executive Assistance support to the Director and the senior management team.
- Communicate with clients.
- Managing ASIC corporate secretarial registers and correspondence.
- Liaising with ATO, ASIC and other Government Agencies.
- Manage tax returns and activity statement lodgments via Xero Tax and ATO Tax Agent Portal.
- Requesting ATO Deferrals and Payment Plans on behalf of clients
- Preparing client correspondence, including all ATO practice mail (experience with ATOMate would be an advantage but we can provide in house training for this if required).
- Document management, including filing.
- Maintain client databases across various cloud-based software.
- Request and collate client information.
- Draft engagement proposals and manage billing.
- Assist with cloud-based workflow management.
- Maintain office, printing, and kitchen supplies (with assistance from our on-site junior staff).
- Liaise with external contractors.
- HR administration.
- Maintain diary appointments for staff, organize meetings and boardroom bookings.
- Various other ad-hoc duties to support accountants, senior management and the Director.
Requirements/Skills Needed:
- Previous experience working in an accounting firm would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and personal organization skills.
- The ability to develop effective and efficient systems.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team autonomously.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Highly developed computer skills. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, SharePoint.
- Excel and Word at a minimum. Proficiency in MYOB and XERO (including Xero Practice Manager) would be an advantage.
