We are looking for an energetic and customer-oriented Sales Clerk to join our team. The Sales Clerk will assist customers in selecting home improvement products, provide product knowledge, and ensure a well-maintained store environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for home improvement, and the ability to work in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:Customer Service & Sales:
- Greet and assist customers in finding home improvement and hardware products.
- Provide expert product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Process sales transactions, handle cash, and operate the POS system.
- Promote ongoing sales, discounts, and special offers.
Product Knowledge & Assistance:
- Stay up-to-date with home improvement products, tools, and materials.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and proper usage.
- Assist in product demonstrations and troubleshooting basic customer concerns.
Store Maintenance & Inventory:
- Organize and stock shelves, ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to management.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking new merchandise.
Operational Support:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned store areas.
- Follow store safety policies and loss prevention guidelines.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisors or store managers
Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional training in retail, sales, or home improvement is a plus.
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail, hardware, or home improvement sales is preferred.
- Knowledge of home improvement products, tools, and materials is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate-weight items.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
