We’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and driven Trade Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic commercial team. Supporting the National Account Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth administration of promotional changes, pricing, and trade spend activities for key national accounts.You’ll be the go-to for administrative coordination with internal stakeholders, accurate data entry, and issue resolution — helping to drive overall operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the National Account Manager with the execution of business plans, trade spend budgeting, promotional strategies, forecasting, and customer engagement.
- Manage and maintain promotional discount submissions and accruals across multiple product categories, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate confirmed promotional programs to field teams and ensure seamless execution through up-to-date promotional grids.
- Track and report customer catalogue activity, monitoring both our client’s products and competitors' presence to evaluate promotional performance.
- Provide administrative and operational support, including reporting, pricing and claims coordination, and acting as a backup for team members when needed.
- Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to company health and safety policies, participating in safety walks, and proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, trade marketing, promotions and pricing with a strong understanding of commercial operations and retail dynamics.
- Strong background in FMCG or similar fast-paced, consumer-driven industries is highly desirable.
- Experience managing trade spend and promotional accruals using ERP systems such as SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and interpret data accurately.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in processing pricing, promotions, and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across sales, marketing and finance teams.
