Position Summary
The position will play a lead role in the Manila Thermo Fisher Scientific Shared Services Intercompany Accounting Operations. The role requires a deep understanding of operational finance end to end processes. It must provide a high standard of business partnering to the Financial Accounting team, Enablement teams, and Accounting Operations teams located in other centres.
The senior manager will initially be responsible for an extended team, so will require an experienced people leader. The successful candidate must be prepared to take ownership of the Intercompany Accounting Operations activities under the team’s remit, ensuring the team works collaboratively at pace, and delivers timely US GAAP reporting results.They must be assured at working in a large multi-national; sophisticated structure, with the ability to prioritise and follow through in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Key to the role will be the ability to complete continuous improvement, bringing others on the journey through strong influencing skills.
The Intercompany Accounting Senior Manager is responsible for supervising and leading all aspects of intercompany accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across global operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing standard methodologies, and driving continuous improvement in intercompany processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Intercompany Accounting Operations teams in the Manila RtR team comprising of managers, supervisors and analysts.
- Apply Leader Standard Work to lead, mentor, empower and develop this team of finance professionals, leading and driving a performance and customer first culture
- Accountable for ensuring that all Record to Report Intercompany Accounting Operations activities in these teams are completed to quality standards expected, and delivered timely
- Use Tier Daily Management to ensure that all problems are highlighted for resolution
- Ensure all financial compliance and (SOX) control measures required of this team are implemented without exception
- Deliver operational perfection through Key Performance Indicators improvement
- Prepare Record to Report performance reviews to present to Senior Leaders
- Promote and drive PPI culture in the teams, taking accountability for the annual efficiency targets
- Lead monthly intercompany processes such as invoice processing and troubleshooting, reconciliations, settlements, and netting processes, etc.
- Collaborate with global finance teams and intercompany partners to resolve intercompany discrepancies and disputes.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant, or qualified by experience
- Deep Accounting Operations knowledge
- Management level people leader experience
- Experience working in a large corporate environment, with outstanding organisational skills
- High level of proactivity to drive continuous improvement
- Ability to drive growth through excellent decision making
