Job Requirements:
- Experience 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
- Experience in the Australian construction market is preferred.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office with strong understanding of construction methods and blueprint reading.
- Effective verbal and written skills and strong negotiation abilities.
- Attention to Detail.
- High accuracy in estimates with strong organizational skills.
- Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry trends and open to new technologies and process enhancements.
- Have access to estimating software prior to role commencement.
Core responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and project budgets, including materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring alignment with project goals and constraints.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and provide updates on estimation progress.
- Maintain detailed estimation records, generate reports for management and stakeholders, and review project documents to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements.
- Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, collaborate on project handover, and conduct post-project reviews to refine future estimates.
