What is the job?

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, including transaction processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Compile, verify, post, and reconcile financial transactions using QuickBooks or other systems.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers, ensuring accurate coding of transactions.
• Prepare and file sales tax, payroll tax, 1099s, and other compliance reports.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in client accounting systems, and create journal entries.
• Provide QuickBooks training and support, respond to client inquiries within 24 hours.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare financial reports, and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Qualifications:

• At least one (1) to three (3) years of US bookkeeping experience.
• US Taxation experience is required.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (vendor setup, 1099 tracking, invoice creation).
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
• Analytical thinker, able to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
