Job Description
Job Summary:
This role bridges the gap between business users and the development team by
refining business requirements into technical specifications. He/she should have a deep
knowledge of the business domain, systems and capabilities related to the project being
delivered.
Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities / Expectations:
Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements based
on business requirement document.
Collect and analyze business and industry data, including key performance
indicators (KPIs), financial reports, and other metrics
Act as a mediator between different business departments to ensure smooth
communication and with the technical delivery team.
Evaluate and map out current business processes, identify gaps, areas for
improvement, identify and address potential risks and challenges using business
process modelling and other techniques.
Maintain documentation by keeping detailed information of various projects,processes, and operations.
Create and propose solutions to business problems, often using cost-benefit
analysis.
Create sprint tickets detailing epics and user stories, including detailed use
cases.
Responsible for working with the development team to ensure that the product
backlog is well-groomed and contains user stories ready for development.
Able to facilitate group sessions.
Prepare and present reports and presentations to stakeholders, explaining
project progress, findings and recommendations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal (e.g., presentations, seminars, etc.)
and written (e.g., reports, articles, etc.).
Collaborates with architects to align technical solutions with business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in a bank or fintech is an advantage
Any relevant Business Analyst certification like International Institute of Business
Analysis (IIBA), Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) or the Certified
Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Aware of future technologies and trends, industry developments, competitive
benchmarks vs other FinTech's/Banks, and other expansion opportunities
Experience
At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in any relevant position
Experience working as part of an Agile team (Scrum and/or Kanban)
Understanding of digital channels
