Job Description

• Wind Resource Assessment
• Calculation of long-term wind speed estimates and wind resource modelling at the turbine hub heights by vertical extrapolation, long-term adjustment based on MCP with reanalysis long term data sets and wind farm modelling for the project domain
• Perform high quality energy yield estimates and preparation of detailed energy yield reports
• Preparation of elevation and roughness contour maps as required for wind resource modelling
• Wind farm layout design and optimization based on the windiness and local constraints at the sites
• Analyze and work with site survey information from drones and UAVs for terrain, receptors and overall site advertisement
• Maintain the dataset of potential receptors which are susceptible to noise and shadow flicker due to the proposed wind turbine layout.
• Conduct site visits to attend met mast maintenance, prefeasibility studies involving terrain, vegetation, obstructions, receptors and other relevant information required for wind farm development
• Met Mast Maintenance and Management:
• QA and QC of wind data, create and upkeep bankable wind measurement datasets to support the wind farm development with high data recovery rate
• Met mast maintenance and management. planning, and executing scheduled maintenance and repair activities at the met masts as and when requiredVendor Management and coordination for installation and resolution of met mast issues

CAD and GIS Functions:

• Prepare and maintain CAD maps and layouts which are needed for land use, land type, topography, basic design of foundations, crane pad, roads, pathways and electrical network and overlap with no go regions and other constraints
• Analyze and work with various GIS data formats to import and present the relevant information from different sources as required from case to case
• Digitization and georeferencing of physical maps and terrain information
• Coordinate with consultants involving terrain, land-based surveys, and preparation of maps.
• Collaborate with project execution, project development and engineering teams

• Minimum 12 years of experience in project development, construction, or technical management, preferably in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, HV works)
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renewable energy projects from feasibility to COD.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind, battery storage) and HV interconnection projects.
• Expertise in feasibility studies, CAPEX/OPEX assessment, LCOE analysis, and cash flow control.
• Experience in managing RFP processes, negotiating EPC/BOS contracts, and vendor management.
• Proficiency in technical design optimization, scheduling, and cost control processes.
• In-depth understanding of project lifecycle, including development, execution, and operation.
• Competence in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and resource planning.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and on-site management best practices.
• Ability to develop standardized templates, procedures, and project management methodologies.
• Experience in reporting, KPI development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including utilities, contractors, and local communities.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and coach junior team members.
• Willingness to travel frequently for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
