VA ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Full-time position with a well-established US retail firm. This position is for Bookkeeping and Accounts Receivable. This position is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, account reconciliation and collecting outstanding balances. It requires self-reliance and initiative, excellent time management and ability to shuffle between tasks.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Invoice processing, verifying financial data, and posting transactions to proper general ledger accounts
- Bill customers
- Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company, bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management
- Utilize QuickBooks desktop/online
- Assist with ad-hoc duties, and administrative tasks as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Management Accounting, or related field or strong experience.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of work experience in a U.S. firm as a bookkeeper
- Previous work experience using QuickBooks desktop/online
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively and proactively with internal and external customers, all management levels, team members, and co-workers
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
