Junior IT Project Manager
About the Role
As a Junior Project Manager at Talisik Labs, you’ll embark on an exciting journey to support the planning, execution, and delivery of impactful projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role is perfect for early-career professionals with less than 2 years of hands-on project management experience, who are eager to learn and grow while adapting to the rapid pace of project delivery.
You’ll work closely with project director and cross-functional teams, gaining valuable experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools. We’re looking for someone with a problem-solving mindset, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to collaborate across teams.Your attention to detail and results oriented approach will be essential as you assist in managing project timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities- Support Project Planning: Assist in creating project plans, timelines, and milestones with senior project managers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, meeting notes, and sprint outcomes.
- Daily Status Updates: Collect and consolidate updates from team members on progress, blockers, and priorities. Share this with the Project Director.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to gather project requirements and communicate changes effectively.
- Sprint Review Assistance: Participate in sprint reviews, preparing meeting materials and documenting feedback.
- Task Coordination: Work with team leads to ensure task assignments are clear and deadlines are met.
- Learn and Apply Agile Practices: Gain expertise in Disciplined Agile Delivery principles, contributing to iterative project improvements.
- Project Charter - Assist in drafting and updating the project charter, ensuring it includes objectives, scope, stakeholders, and initial timelines.
- Input-Process-Output (IPO) Diagram - Draft IPO diagrams to map processes and understand data flows between systems or teams.
- Workflows - Create simple workflows to document the steps for specific tasks or processes within the project
- Epic and User Stories - Collaborate with senior project managers or product owners to draft epics and user stories, ensuring they are concise, actionable, and aligned with project goals.
- Task Breakdown - Assist in breaking down user stories into smaller, manageable tasks, including clear acceptance criteria.
- Daily Status Reports - Submit daily updates summarizing team progress, blockers, and planned actions.
Sprint Artifacts:
- Sprint Planning Notes: Help document sprint goals, tasks, and commitments.
- Sprint Review Documentation: Record completed tasks, feedback, and action items from stakeholders.
- Meeting Minutes: Prepare meeting notes for sprint planning,retrospectives, and client updates, ensuring they include key decisions and follow-up actions.
- Basic Risk Register: Maintain a simple list of identified risks, their potential impact, and recommended mitigation strategies.
- Lesson Learned Log: Document lessons learned at the end of each sprint or project phase to support continuous improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields. Exposure to project management principles or Agile methodologies is an advantage
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Basic knowledge of Agile or Scrum principles (certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Trello, Jira, or MS Project).

Daily Expectations:
