Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy of data and completeness of supporting documentation.
• Record all financial transactions (invoices, bills, journal entries) into the accounting system, reconcile bank statements, manage expenses/intercompany transactions, and update the general ledger daily.
• Keep track of office prepayment schedule and fixed-assets schedule ensuring they are reconciled with the accounting platform.
• Manage petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and replenishment as needed.
• Collaborate with the HR department to assist in payroll calculations, ensuring accurate processing of night shifts, holiday pay, overtime pay, bonuses, and applicable taxes. This includes reviewing employee time records, calculating earnings, deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant Labor laws and company policies.
• Post journal entries for payroll and related expenses in the accounting system, ensuring proper allocation of costs across departments. Provide detailed reports to the Directors of each YML Division, outlining payroll expenses and any discrepancies or adjustments, and ensuring financial transparency and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly BIR requirements, including VAT returns, Income Tax Returns (ITR), and the Annual Alpha list. Ensure all filings are accurate and submitted on time to comply with tax regulations.
• Prepare and submit remittance reports for government agencies (SSS, PHIC, HDMF), ensuring accurate employee and employer contributions and timely payments.
• Assist to prepare year-end financial reports by organizing data and reviewing accounts for accuracy. Support audits by providing required documentation and resolving any issues to ensure compliance.

About the Candidate:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of with background and experience in local tax and accounting practices is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, income tax regulations.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office specifically in Excel.
• Knowledge in Xero Accounting software is a plus.
• Knowledge in Yahshua Payroll software is a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and record-keeping
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of confidential information and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work onsite - Fairview, Quezon City
