Accounting Specialist (Accounts Receivable / Manila-based / nightshift)

The Accounting Specialist performs a wide range of administrative duties as assigned and maintains confidentiality of all privileged information. This position may include processing account receivables, assisting in making collections, cash posting, data entry and bookkeeping for Accounting management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Process receivables and other requested items as directed.
  2. Generating invoices and account statements
  3. Performing account reconciliations
  4. Research and respond to all receivable and other inquiries in a prompt manner.
  5. Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
  6. Check and verify source documents such as Accounting invoices, receipts, statements.
  7. Post incoming payments.
  8. Communication with customers via phone, email, mail. etc.
  9. Compile and check source documents, such as vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and cash receipts, for completeness and accuracy, and prepares reports.
  10. Verify and post details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals, and total accounts.
  11. Other Finance and Accounting tasks, reconciliations, special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
  12. Assist the team members as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  2. 2-3 years experience in accounts receivable
  3. Previous experience with Quickbooks is preferred.
  4. Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
  5. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  8. Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  9. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  10. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  11. Strong interpersonal skills.
  12. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
