About the role
MC88 CONSTRUCTION is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive cost management services and ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.
What you'll be doing- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects
- Analyse construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to identify cost drivers and potential risks
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring the best value for the company
- Monitor and control project costs, providing regular updates to project managers and senior leadership
- Assist with the preparation of progress claims, variations, and final accounts
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the company's cost management processes and procedures
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software, such as Buildsoft or CostX
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Familiarity with relevant construction laws, regulations, and industry standards
