The Campus Engineer is in charge of overall operational, maintenance, and other duties relative to the upkeep of school buildings, facilities and equipment.
Minimum qualifications: Licensed engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
With at least 2 years supervisory experience in Building Administration/ Preventive Maintenance/ Environmental Management or Construction Project Management
With knowledge on Health & Safety conceptsSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and assigns tasks to staff and monitors their corresponding performance with respect to the 52-week Routine Maintenance Schedule to ensure satisfactory job performance
Prepares short-term and long-term plans and procedures for efficient operation of facilities
Dispatches and instructs maintenance staff in responding to requests for preventive and/or corrective maintenance works
As needed, performs hands-on operations and maintenance works of the buildings and facilities along with the maintenance staff. Facilities include but are not limited to: Elevator, Chillers, STP, Pumps and controllers, Fans and controllers, Generator Set, Transformer, Switchgears, Heating and Ventilation, Panelboards, bus duct, capacitor bank, CCTVs, Heating and Ventilation
Maintains up-to-date reports on repairs, remedial actions and untoward occurrences
Trains maintenance staff in standard procedures to handle the school’s equipment and accomplish their tasks
Prepares Purchase Requests and the Annual Budget of the maintenance requirements in coordination with the OCA Director
Participates in the planning of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management
Plans and implements other Engineering related-projects
Reviews and provides prior approvals for installations, modifications and physical setup
Coordinates with the Building & Campus Administrative Staff in the safekeeping and updating of building plans and construction-related documents (e.g. construction plans, “as-built” plans, blueprint, layouts, etc.), building and equipment maintenance, and repairs documentation.
Frequently monitors and inspects any safety and health hazards of the operations and advises on appropriate control measuresRegularly provides job safety instructions and orientation to employees and students
Prepares and provides regular reports (monthly, quarterly or annually)
Performs other related tasks assigned by the superior
