We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist with a strong foundation in traditional IT systems combined with deep expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. This role will work closely with the IT Manager to lead the company's cloud transformation initiatives while managing day-to-day IT operations.
The primary focus will be on developing, implementing, training, monitoring, and enforcing cloud storage structures and policies, ensuring that all team members consistently and securely use cloud platforms for data management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, support, and troubleshoot on-premises IT infrastructure (servers, networks, endpoints, software).
- Develop and implement company-wide cloud storage structures and usage policies across Google Cloud and AWS.
- Train internal teams on proper cloud storage practices, ensuring adoption and compliance.
- Monitor and enforce cloud data management policies across all departments.
- Configure, manage, and optimize cloud storage services (Google Drive, Google Cloud Storage, AWS S3).
- Implement robust access controls, encryption protocols, and security best practices across all cloud platforms.
- Design and manage backup, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies in a hybrid environment.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cloud architecture.
- Automate cloud administration tasks where appropriate using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 IT support as required, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in cloud security, storage management, and hybrid infrastructure optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of experience in IT support and systems/network administration.
- 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS.
- Expertise in cloud storage management, access configuration, lifecycle policies, and cloud security enforcement.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity and access management (IAM) policies.
- Experience with hybrid environments integrating on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
- Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with Google Workspace Admin Console management is an advantage.
