Manila - Solar Permit Officer

Job Summary:

Lead and manage the entire permitting process for solar energy projects in the Philippines, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire permitting process for solar energy projects, from initial application to final approval.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including the Renewable Energy Act, EPIRA, PEC, PNS, Local Government Code, EIA guidelines, Building Code of the Philippines, and ERC rules.
• Prepare and submit all necessary permits and applications to relevant government agencies, including DUs, TUs, LGUs, and the DENR.
• Coordinate and liaise with government officials, project developers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient permit acquisition.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permit conditions.
• Monitor and track the progress of all permitting applications and ensure timely resolution of any issues or challenges.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with the technical department on the conduct of Feasibility study for the projects to ensure that all provisions for all the requirements of authorities are considered.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permits and approvals.
• Stay abreast of any changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide support to the project development team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal permitting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• With at least 2-5 years of experience in permitting scope
• Knowledgeable in Solar Installation
• Knowledgeable in Solar Permits
