Head of Construction
Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Ensure projects adhere to all regulations, codes, and standards. Strategic Planning Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction division, aligning with the organization’s overall goals. Implement measures that support Engineering and Construction process innovation.
Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with projections. Monitor and control costs, and approve expenditures. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Stakeholder Management Communicate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the project lifecycle. Ensure client satisfaction and maintain strong relationships.
Quality Assurance and Compliance Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
QUALIFICATIONS: Min. 10-15 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience managing large-scale construction projects across various sectors. Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and technologies.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field. Project Management or Construction Management Professional Certification is desirable.
Certifications such as LEED, CCM may be a plus. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Strong leadership and multi-tasking abilities.
Advanced project management skills including know-how in project management software. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and make informed decisions under pressure and within tight deadlines. Proficiency in negotiating contracts, agreements, and settlements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Attention to detail and accuracy and Customer Service Orientation. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges efficiently. Willing to work onsite at MOA COMPLEX, Pasay City.
