CASHIER

Job description

Education:

  • Handle cash and checks properly and ensure timely deposits and reconciliations.
  • Submit accurate and complete Daily Cash Reports (DCR).
  • Issue receipts and invoices accurately and without discrepancies.
  • Receive and reconcile site water collections with transmittals submitted by site admin.
  • Encode all received payments (e.g., RF, DP, MA, water collections) in SAP promptly.
  • File deposit slips with matching invoices/receipts and attach them to DCR hard copies.

Post-Dated Check (PDC) Custodian Duties:

  • Receive PDCs and verify complete and correct details (payer, amount, date).
  • Prepare transmittal documents for received PDCs.
  • Store PDCs securely with proper documentation and categorization.
  • Update PDC monitoring in SAP for clients with active contracts.
  • Coordinate with Credit & Collection Officer on bounced or rejected checks.

Customer Service & Support:

  • Provide good customer service during transactions.
  • Ensure customer-related collections do not exceed 5% of sales.

Compliance & Team Support:

  • Comply with company policies, including attendance and punctuality.
  • Support the finance team by helping out when others are unavailable.
  • Maintain accuracy in financial reporting and monitoring of PDCs.

Job Specifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 1–2 years of experience as a cashier or in a related finance/treasury function, preferably in the real estate or property development sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SAP (especially in modules related to Finance, Treasury, and Sales).
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of cash handling, OR issuance, and basic reconciliation processes.

Soft Skills:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Can work with minimal supervision and under pressure.

Other Requirements:

  • Willing to work onsite and coordinate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, MIS).
  • Trustworthy and maintains integrity in all financial transactions.
