Pricing Analyst
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Product & Pricing Analyst will be responsible for organizing and maintaining a database of products, packages & pricelists for trade shows and events across the entire RX event portfolio. He/She will interface with groups across the organization that access this data and depend on having the most accurate and up-to-date information available.This is a critical role ensuring that our sales teams are Ready to Sell. Accuracy in data entry, knowledge of Oracle, Excel, Salesforce and (to some extent) Project Management will be key to success in this role.
Accountabilities:
The Pricing Analyst will cover three MAIN responsibilities not limited to:
Entering and Maintaining Products
Ensure consistency and alignment between local and global master product lists.
Ensure that products and item types/categories are entered correctly; the entry platform ties
created items/products through all finance applications and is difficult to make corrections after creating
Ensure that bulk product loads are entered correctly in the designated templates for global counterparts to upload.
Regularly communicate with the Oracle team to ensure that mass uploads are uploaded/delivered on time.
Enter and Maintain Packages
Create logical equations to approach desired pricing in various pricing scenarios.
Utilize Package Creation to simplify the business by creating Packages that can Scale to the size of a booth/stand.
Test to ensure Package Entries are accurate.
Enter and Maintain Price Lists
Ensure that Mid-Year Space Pricing Increases are set correctly for every Package/Price List at the correct price on the desired date.
Ensure that Milestone Billing is linked to the correct Event, Event Edition with the correct Deposit and Invoicing Dates and Percentages.
Open the following month Inventory at end-of-month to ensure that Canceled Orders are returned.
Audit Inventory for updates/additions and communicate product discrepancies.
Manage Communication with RX Departments
Ensure that all Products, Packages and Price lists are setup in a timely manner for the show teams to sell.
Participate in pricing meetings to ensure that the pricing established meets the needs to be translated into the system.
Ensure setup is tested and signed-off by relevant RX stakeholders
Create Opportunities and Quotes in Salesforce for the shows that will be tested.
Ensure that product picker within the quote sums up the desired pricing with no errors
Troubleshoot any problematic quotes within Oracle EBS to resolve any questions that can lead to the solving of the problem
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree holder
- Must have at least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- An understanding of events, sales, advertising and marketing strategy
- Should have good business acumen, commercial mindset and strong data analytics capabilities.
- Ability to work across various industry segments. B2B experience is an asset.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans.
