Business Development Representative

This is a remote position.

Our Client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their growing team. The BDR will be responsible for driving new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads, initiating conversations with prospects, and setting up meetings for the sales team.

This is a critical role in the sales pipeline, and the BDR will play an essential part in helping the company expand its client base and reach revenue goals.

Requirements

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify and research potential leads through various channels (cold calls, emails, social media, and events).
  • Generate new business opportunities by prospecting and reaching out to decision-makers and key stakeholders in target companies.

Qualification of Leads:

  • Qualify inbound leads and ensure they meet the ideal customer profile (ICP)
  • Use discovery calls to understand the potential client’s needs, challenges, and fit for our product or service.

Outbound Sales Outreach:

  • Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking to build a pipeline of leads.
  • Set up meetings or demos between qualified prospects and the sales team.

CRM Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, contacts, and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Track and report on key metrics, including outreach activities, responses, meetings set, and qualified opportunities.

Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams:

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth hand off qualified leads and help drive successful conversions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to improve lead generation strategies and ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and sales goals.

Market Research & Insights:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and the target market to better understand prospects' needs and challenges.
  • Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on the effectiveness of outreach strategies and prospect needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a sales development or lead generation role (previous BDR, SDR, or sales experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport and engage with prospects.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with outbound sales activities.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, etc.) is a plus.
