About the Role

As a Junior Financial Officer, you will provide essential support by managing financial processes, bookkeeping, compliance, and client financial administration. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, reporting efficiency, and regulatory compliance within our firm.

This is a work-from-home role.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of incoming and outgoing payments within Xero.
• Ensuring all transactions have supporting documents attached.
• Managing payroll records, leave tracking, and employee payments.

• Mapping and reconciling incoming payments within Adviser Logic.
• Preparing and sending monthly Fee Disclosure Statements (FDS) and Opt-In documentation via Panda Doc.
• Tracking outstanding compliance documents to meet regulatory deadlines.

• Assisting with the preparation of annual audit financial statements and tax return documentation.
• Supporting the company accountant with Australian regulator lodgements with the BAS, SGC, IAS, and other regulatory submissions.
• Preparing payments for outgoing expenses for review and approval.

• Gathering required documents for client tax returns and preparing work papers.
• Addressing client and accountant queries related to tax return processing.
• Updating Xplan, Adviser Logic, and Copper to ensure client data accuracy.

• Any additional responsibilities as directed by the manager.
• Maintaining timesheets for billable client work.

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (majoring in Accounting).
• Skills & Attributes:

• Strong organizational and process-driven approach.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Proactive, autonomous, and able to manage tasks independently.
