Position Summary:

The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting various human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, training, and HR administrative tasks. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive employee experience and maintaining organizational efficiency through HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process: posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring activities.
  • Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires and departing employees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to comply with labor laws and company standards.
  • Support employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, investigations, and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records in HRIS systems and physical files.
  • Coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to benefits, payroll support, and HR reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in organizing company events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Participate in HR projects and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR or a related role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting, with occasional remote work as needed.
  • Some travel may be required for recruitment or training events.
